Joseph Choe is a Korean Amerian artist whose world is most vividly expressed through paint. Diagnosed with autism at the age of three, Choe discovered his artistic voice early in life. By seven, he was demonstrating a distinct visual language marked by originality, emotional depth, and an intuitive sense of color. In 2004, Choe studied uner renowned American artist David Choe, who recognized his emerging talent and helped nurture his creative development. Choe continues to refine his artworks at ACC studio in New Jersey and is an active member of the Korean New York Artist Assoc. (KNYAA).
Choe's paintings serve as his primary mode of communication - a visual dialogue that replaces words with confident brushstrokes and vibrant, expressive color. His work interprets landscapes and everyday scenes through an impressionistic and expressionistic lens, capturing fleeting moments with a sensitivity to light, movement, and atmosphere. Each canvas reveals the artist's inner passions and emotional resonance, inviting viewers to step into his world and experience a deeper, more intimate perspective. Choe has exhibited widely, with shows at 2026 PLAS, Gala Art Center, ACC Gallery, the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in San Francisco, Saratoga Library, the Norton Gallery of the Pacific Art League in Palo Alto, World Mission Baptist Church and Valley Church.
